Certificate TESOL course components include: - Teaching skills (including methodology, skills, teaching practice, lesson planning and related journal, guided observation, coursebook and materials evaluation, and methods of assessment and testing in the classroom).

The Trinity Certificate and Diploma are also approved by the UK Qualifications and Curriculum Authorithy (QCA) and are listed under Sections 96 and 97 of the Learning and Skills Council’s funding act. Trinity’s CertTESOL and LTCL Diploma TESOL are accredited in the UK National Qualifications Framework (NQF) at Levels 4 and 5 respectively.
Entry Requirements: - A good educational background (elegibility to attend university, or some tertiary education course).
- A good, advanced level of English (CELS Higher, CAE, Proficiency or ISE III.
- A good command of spoken English.
- Minimum age: eighteen years old at the time of entry to the course.
- A mature approach.
- Before enrolment all candidates will have to sit a written test and attend an interview. In addition to covering the core requirements specified by Trinity, trainees are also provided with a lot of extra support in developing their own language skills.
The course is very demanding at times so a serious commitment on the part of the trainees is required. v Should you be wondering what to do with your life...?
Certificate TESOL is a good option.

v How long does it take?
Two years part-time or three years Saturday Courses.
v When are the classes?
Either three mornings a week or three evenings a week, or on Saturday mornings.
v Can I study another longer profession at the same time?
Quite a few people do. Many TESOL Teachers have qualified as doctors, lawyers, architects and other professionals.
v Will I get a good job when I get my Certificate?
Look around you. You will find that many teachers in private schools are Certificate TESOL Teachers.
v And if I leave Uruguay...?
You will have no trouble teaching elsewhere.
